He is sorry to hear of the recipient's 'uneasienes', and that he is unable to attend on him, as he is 'oblidged to goe sie the Lady Mackerston's daughter in the afternoon'. If he can, he will wait on him on the following morning, as he suspects there may be 'a tendency to your Ague'.

2pp., 4to. Bifolium. Addressed, with red wax seal, on reverse of second leaf, to 'Charles Erskine Esqre. | Melrose'. Docketted: '7 May 1821 | Mrs Cranstown [sic] | About Mr Usher preventing the taking of Gravel'. A well-written letter, and a nice piece of social history. She lays out her case extremely clearly: 'I trouble you with this letter on the following account. Having occasion for some Gravel to beautify our Court, I employed a man to bring it from the river on Friday last. Mr Usher objected to his doing so, the man answered, "have not they a right?

On the recto of the first leaf of a 12mo bifolium, with the letterhead in blue above it. The signature is bold, clear, and undamaged, and reads 'Phya Prasiddhi, | Salakar.' On discoloured, ruckled paper, with offsetting from another letter. The words 'Siamese Minister' at the head of the page, written in red ink, have bled slightly, and there are patches of brown discoloration, and damage to the foot of the leaf, apparently caused by removal from an autograph album.

All items with text clear and entire. Item One: offprint, on one side of a piece of wove paper 25 x 18.5 cm. Good, on lightly-aged paper with some wear to extremities. Headed 'AQUAECULTURE, And the Artificial Propogation [sic] of the Danube Salmon in Bavaria, BY DR. WIMMER. | Re-printed from the Macclesfield Courier June 27, 1857.' The letter, dated 'Landshut, 11th June, 1857', is addressed to 'Thomas Ashworth, Esq.' and covers two columns of small print. Item Two: four-page offprint, on all sides of a grey-paper bifolium, leaf dimensions 20 x 12 cm. Very good. Headed 'ON PISICULTURE.
