5pp., 4to. On bifolium and single leaf. Good, on lightly-aged paper. On the reverse of the last leaf is the following note in light pencil: 'I believe was written by the Rev. T. Binney for the Christian Examiner but never appeared in that Paper because not rec[eive]d. - William Enington'. The review, with occasional minor deletions and emendations, is headed 'Judas Iscariot, a Miracle Play, with other Poems. By R. H. Horne. Post. 8vo.

4to, 2 pp. Twenty lines. Text clear and complete. In fair condition, on lightly-aged paper, with minor traces of mount adhering at head of reverse. He has been on an 'interesting and agreeable' tour. 'If my name is worthy of standing amongst the Patrons of the Splendid Work forthcoming under your auspices I shall be proud to enroll myself with them; and shall be ready to obey the call of your publisher whenever you direct him to me.' He praises Dibdin's 'Tour in France and Germany' (1821), and thanks him for selecting 'so fine a copy'.

One page, octavo. Very good. Docketed at head 'Ordinary of Newgate', and with small fragment of printed slip laid down in top left-hand corner (not affecting text). Reads 'My dear Sir, | A friend of mine lays claim to the Arrandale Peerage & estates - do you happen to possess any documents of any kind which can throw light upon the subject & assist him in the prosecution of his claims - He claims I believe from Lord John Johnstone who was in Newgate for Treason about the year 1700, but was never convicted - Yrs. very truly | H S Cotton'. Addressed to 'William Upcott Esq.

One page, 12mo. Black border. Good, on aged and ruckled paper, with small glue stain at head (not affecting text). Asks to be released from 'coming to Oldham Road' on 4 July, as 'Saturday is an evening wich I usually make a rule of keeping to myself for the purposes of preparation for the Sunday'. Docketed at head in contemporary hand, 'Revd Arthur Mursell, Manchester'. Mursell's most interesting work would appear to be 'Bright Beads on a Dark Thread; or visits to the haunts of vice, etc.' (London, 1873).

British Assyriologist (1845-1933). Paper dimensions roughly four inches by three inches. Very good. From autograph album. Mounted on larger piece of pink paper. Reads '[...] 1.30. I shall be here till the middle of next week, but my afternoons are being terribly wasted by the meetings of w[hic]h. the good people here seem to be so fond. | Yours sincerely | A. H. Sayce.'
