Internally in good condition on lightly-aged paper; in worn wraps with creased corner at rear and small square of staining from label on front cover. Inscribed on front pastedown: 'With best wishes | from | Virginia Graham. | 1946.' A charming collection in Grenfell mode, with poems including 'Café Triste' (beginning: 'Miss Tomkinson, do you suppose | That you and I | On this same day next year | Will still be sitting here, | Eating this vegetable pie | Covered white glucose?') and 'V J Day' (beginning: 'Hurray!

Both items in good condition, lightly aged, and both laid out in the customary fashion, with tax stamps and embossments. ONE: On three vellum skins. Endorsed, with signatures of various Company officials, on reverse of third skin: 'The Artizans Labourers and General Dwellings Company Limited to The Mutual Life Assurance Society | Mortgage for securing £35000 and Interest'. Large coloured map of the estate (Brassey Square, Latchmere Road, Tyneham Road, Eversleigh Road, Sabine Road, Kingsley Street Morrison Street, Ashbury Road, Holden Street, Grayshott Road) on reverse of third skin.

4pp., 12mo. Bifolium with mourning border. Very good, on lightly-aged paper. Addressed to 'Dear Sir' and signed 'Georgina Max Müller'. She begins by explaining that she has only just received the copy of the New York Saturday Review, having received his letter four days before. 'I see the Paragraph mixes up two Books | 1 The Autobiography pub. yesterday by Messrs Scribners of New York, & Messrs Longmans London, on which my dear husband was at work till 10 days before the end - & which has been prepared for Press by my son.

Three pages, 12mo. Good, on aged and lightly stained paper. She is writing because her husband, who is 'on the eve of starting for Scotland', 'is very far from well today'. He asks her to thank her correspondent 'for the Translations & the Pamphlet on the Revelation' [Fleay's 'The Book of Revelation symbolic not special, being the substance of Sermons [...]', 1864]. 'The latter he feels is written on the only rational method & he likes it very much, as he does the Catullus' [Fleay's 'The poetry of Catullus, to which is added The vigil of Venus', 1864].
