8vo: xxiv + 248 pp. At rear is 32-page 'Mr. Murray's General List of Works', dated 'Albemarle Street, London, August, 1896.' In original blue cloth, with illustration of a long ship stamped in gilt on front board. Good tight copy in lightly-worn binding. Inscribed on half-title 'Dufferin and Ava | Clandeboye, Ireland, Nov 22nd., 1897' and 'Lauchlan MacLean Watt | In Iceland with King of Denmark 1907'.

4to: 42 + [i] pp. Disbound. On foxed paper with occasional light staining. 'No. 16.' in manuscript at head of title-page, which also carries a signed inscription from Barres with some loss due to the trimming of the outer margin: 'Á Mr. Olma<...> | de la port de l'<...> | [signed] Barres'. On the title-page Barres is described as 'Bachelier ès lettres de l'Académie de Bordeaux; ancien élève de l'Hôtel-Dieu Saint-André de la même ville, etc.' This is the only work by Barres in the Bibliothèque Nationale catalogue.

12mo: viii + 412 pp. Errata slip tipped in at rear. In original brown cloth boards with title in gilt on green leather label on spine. A tight copy, with occasional light foxing, in worn boards. Inscribed on the ffep to 'The Rev G. B. Blomfield With the authors Respects'. Only three copies on COPAC (Glasgow, Liverpool and Nottingham).

Original brown wraps, chipped, dusted and soiled, titlepage partly soiled and dusted, otherwise good. Scarce: COPAC lists copies at BL, NLS, Oxford, and NLW. AddAll only lists the 1971 reprint.

Based on his novel of the same name. Original green wraps, motif of Maunsel's Irish Plays on front, soiled, one closed tear, titlepage faintly stained, pages of contents dulled through age, sound. Very attractive production in original green cloth, and with dustwrapper. Two portraits of Frazer and fold-out facsimile of his writing and rear. Very good tight copy, although bumped at head of spine.

[Duplicat] Quarto: 154 pp. Around a dozen fold-out plates. In original light-green printed wraps. Internally very good; in worn, creased and stained wraps. A splendid production, printed in red and black on thick laid watermarked paper. With note, in red ink, on tipped-in slip, beginning 'The Government paper restictions forbid anything save the following very brief descriptions.' In red ink at foot of title: 'The whole of the contents of this catalogue are entirely free from duty'.

44 pages. Folio. Unbound. In poor condition: first and last leaf fraying, torn and separated. An important document: a landmark in the history of environmentalism. The committee members were the Hon. E. S. Montagu (Under Secretary of State for India), Lord Lucas (Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture), Frank Elliott of the Home Office, E. G. B. Meade-Waldo, W. R. Ogilvie-Grant, Hugh S. Gladstone and the appropriately-named W. Eagle Clarke.

Half-title (with quotation from Strauss's 'Leben Jesu' on reverse) and (discoloured) final leaf of publisher's advertisements. Disbound. The author is described on the title-page as ''Rev. Aristarchus Newlight, Phil. Dr. of the University of Giessen; Corresponding Member of the Theophilanthropic and Pantisocratical Societies of Leipsig; Late Professor of All Religions in several distinguished Academies at home and abroad, etc. etc.

Octavo: 4 pp. Unbound bifolium. On aged paper, with loss at head and gutter of both leaves, creases and closed tears. Entirely legible, with the only damage to the text being partial loss of the numeration and the first word of the title ('AN'). Loss at head damaging manuscript inscription to 'Francis Scot<...>sement | <...> | Margt. Scott | Decr. 11. 1836.' The work itself was published in Dublin in 1837 by Milliken. '[...] 'It surely cannot be considered an unimportant matter to attempt to direct in any way the attention of Protestants to the novelty of Popery.

12mo, 40 pp, paginated 37-76. Stitched and unbound, in original light-brown printed wraps (printed on both sides). Text clear and entire, but rather grubby and aged, and with a little light staining at head of first and last leaf. Wraps creased, particularly at rear. Includes an essay (37-49 pp.) on 'The Religious Education of Children' by Samuel Miller, 'Princeton, April, 1833.' and 'Synod of Ulster - Home Mission, to the Rev. George Bellis, Secretary to the Presbyterian Missionary Society for Ireland, Campsie Manse, 23 Oct. 1833' by Norman M'Leod, Minister of Campsie.

52 pages, 8vo. In original blue printed wraps, which are folded around endpapers, the rear of which bears publisher's advertisements. In poor condition: paper browning and spotting with age, binding loose and wraps frayed and worn, especially at spine. The front wrap has a long closed tear at head, and the indentation of a paper-clip, which attaches the typewritten letter (1 page, 8vo, discoloured and worn at extremities), headed 'Room 102, | Surrey Street. | 7.4.52', from 'Christine' to 'Ita'.

12mo, 168 pp. In original red printed wraps, yellow endpapers. Attractive bookseller's ticket of 'Hunt Books 1919 Southborough Kent England' on front pastedown. Internally sound, with a little light staining and some unobtrusive marking in margins. Wraps chipped and worn at corners and spine, with small ink stain on back. Front wrap headed 'RAILWAY READING.' Small neat ownership stamp of J. D. Bowen at head of title.

The extract from the 'Parliamentary Debates' is 8vo, 12 pp (paginated 402-423), stapled and in original blue printed wraps. Grubby and dogeared, with light staining at head. Bound in at the front is Adams's 'Circular', which is a 4-page 8vo bifolium, printed by 'E. H. Williams (T. U.) Printer, 232 Devons Road, Bow, E.' Good, on lightly aged paper. Printed at the head of Adams's pamphlet is 'N.B. Copies of this Circular were seized by the police in a raid on the room occupied by Mrs.

Pamphlet, 52pp., 8vo, printed wraps, soiled, spine damaged, mainly good condition. "It has for a long time been our wish to give more interesting information about the important Autograph Letters and Documents in our Collection, and consequently we propose to issue from time to time a publication entitled NOTES ON AUTOGRAPHS, of which this is the first Number." It is distinguished by lengthier descriptions than normal but, with a price list masquerading as an index, is in reality an upmarket trade catalogue.

Quarto: xii + 168 pp. In original grey printed wraps. Numerous facsimiles. Printed order slip loosely inserted. Good, with grubby prelims and creasing to last few leaves at rear. Including a twenty-four page description of an 'extensive collection of Washington letters and documents [covering] every phase of his eventful life'. Participants named in the title: 'Cotton Mather, George Washington, William Penn, Benjamin Franklin, Signers of the Declaration of Independence, Generals of the American Revolution, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Robert Fulton'.

[viii] 237 pp., fol.m, original grey and red printed wraps, numerous plates and illustrations in text, some staining of cover around spine, a few pencil markings, top of spine damaged, mainly good condition. It includes Cortes, "Carta de Relacion" (1522), other important Americana, and the first edition of "Don Quixote".

Quarto: 65 pp. Numerous plates. In original grey printed wraps. Internally good, with a little spotting and creasing to the ruckled edges; wraps worn and stained. A beautifully printed item, on thick laid paper. Among the printed matter are books of hours, breviaries, psalters, and letters (with facsimile plates) by Byron, Keats, Johnson and Sterne; and manuscripts of Fielding and Horace Walpole.
